I worked for Sainsburys in Winton Bournemouth as a Cashier trainer back in 1974 , I had to go to London for training , stayed in this tall hotel , I want to say near Bkackfriars or somewhere near Putney , if anyone can help me on this moved to the Barkingside ilford area & joined Sainsburys when it opened the 1st Superstore , it was an exciting time , I can remember filling the shelves upstairs with bedding , crockery pots & pans , greeting cards, Steve Woodrow was the manager,, we had a big opening day with lots of people from head quarters
