My Auntie remembers a sainsburys store at number 74 Ruislip high street where the Edinburgh wool mill stands today.
I can't find any pictures of it on line and she would be fascinated to see one. Apparently it had a black and white chequered floor if her memory serves and it was very bright and clean with staff in white uniforms.
Not the later store which was built on the site of the rivoli cinema.
