Promotion Award for Initiative in Encouraging the Improvement of Homes presented by the National Home Improvement Council (NHIC) in 1987.
The centrepiece of the award is a ceramic disc with a terracotta ground and a printed design in gold. The design depicts the NHIC logo and the name of the award.
The disc is held within a glazed, deep, wooden, gold painted frame with a copper alloy hanging fitting attached to the back. A circular opening in the back of the frame reveals the maker's mark on the back of the disc, 'WEDGEWOOD MADE IN ENGLAND'. Two stickers on the frame record details of the frame maker, 'THE ART SHOP'.
