'Animex' plaque

Metal plaque with a raised outline design of ducks, geese, horses, pigs, birds, boar, deer and rabbits. There is also a raised central inscription, 'PRESENTED TO MESSRS. J. SAINSBURY LTD. IN RECOGNITION OF MOST PLEASANT CORDIAL AND CREATIVE COOPERATION ANIMEX 1951 - 1971.'

The plaque is mounted on a wooden block with a walnut veneer and stored in a cardboard box with a lift-off lid and a green leather effect paper covering. A gold sticker on the box lid features a blue printed inscription, 'ANIMEX POLAND'.
