The Chairman's Award Shield

Varnished wooden shield with a metal plate in the shape of a scroll at the top engraved with the following inscription, 'GRIFFIN ATHLETIC CLUB'. There is a shield-shaped metal plate at the centre with a stamped design including laurel leaves, an engraved inscription, 'THE CHAIRMAN'S AWARD PRESENTED BY R.S. DUDMAN 1967' and a centre disc depicting bowling balls.

There are nine smaller shield-shaped metal plates around the edge of the wooden shield, four of which are inscribed with winners' names and dates.

There are two iron rings from which the shield can be suspended and a hinged wooden stand attached to the reverse of the shield. The reverse also features two stickers bearing the contact details of the supplier, Club Sports Supplies Limited.
