Three horse brasses. Each brass consists of a copper alloy shield featuring an embossed metal crest and a black and red recessed inscription, 'MERIT BADGE R.S.P.C.A. LONDON CART HORSE PARADE', followed by the date the individual brass was awarded (1932, 1933 and 1934). The brasses could be hung from horse harnesses using their leather strap and copper alloy buckle fastenings.
Each brass is accompanied and explained by a red cardboard disc bearing a black printed inscription, 'Cart Horse Parade FIRST', followed by the date the individual prize was awarded (1932, 1933 and 1934).
The brasses and discs are contained within a purpose built wooden presentation box with a slide-off glass lid and green felt lining.
