Includes three black and white photographs of Blackfriars and the City of London taken in 1955 and matched up into a panoramic view and three black and white photographs of the same area in 1962 matched up into a panoramic view. The photographs feature Sainsbury's landmarks such as Stamford House and Wakefield House and other landmarks such as St Paul's Cathedral and Bankside Power Station (now Tate Modern).
Notes on the reverse of the photographs give instructions for touch ups to ensure that the panoramas appeared seamless when featured in JS Journal, September 1962 . Also includes two further proofing stages.
Blackfriars was the area of Sainsbury's head offices and depots in London.
