Battery operated, portable black unit with a reader dial with a needle and markings in degrees fahrenheit (50 to 100) and degrees celsius (0 to 50) on the front.
A plate is attached to the front with the inscription, 'J.S. Ltd' and a number, '68/2827'. The top contains a socket for a probe and a wrist strap is attached to the bottom. The unit is used to measure the temperature of items being probed, and is held in a black synthetic case. At the back of the case is a pocket which contains the guarantee/instructions. The front of the case and the reader dial are inscribed with the name of the device, 'dependatherm'.
