Thermistor thermometer

Battery operated, portable black and grey unit with a control knob and a reader dial with a needle and three sets of markings in degrees celsius. The top contains a socket for a probe. The unit is used to measure the temperature of items being probed, and is held in a black wooden carrying case with foam in the lid and red lining along the bottom. The top of the case contains a label with the inscription, 'This instrument is to be used by laboratory staff only'. There is a sticker on the inside cover of the case with brief instructions and the name of the device, 'Edale Thermistor Thermometer model C'. The carrying case also contains an instruction leaflet.
