Grey speckled, fibreboard, rectangular carrying case containing the following accessories for the Lovibond tintometer: 1 viewing tube; 1 black plastic presser and frame; 2 glass circles; 3 red, yellow and neutral glass racks; 3 square porcelain trays; 5 magnesium carbonate tablets; 7 glass cells used to hold liquids. The case also contains the following booklets: 'Colorimetry - a handbook of the Lovibond Tintometer' A J Fawcett, 'A plain talk on colour measurement' 'Colorimetric analysis with the B.D.H Lovibond Nessleriser' 'Record book of colour measurements for use with the Lovibond Tintometer' (blank); 'Instructions for using the Lovibond Tintometer' The first three booklets have 'Charles [J.] Ashton Dec 1949' written on the inside cover of each.
