CIES (Food Business Forum) 1985 annual conference neck tie

Grey polyester neck tie with a repeated design consisting of a diagonal woven inscription, 'CIES'. There is also an occassional design of red and white diagonal lines enclosing plain grey diagonal bands containing machine embroidered blue 'CIES' globe logos and red and white Japanese flags. The tie has a lining of grey polyester bearing the makers name, 'Interlogo London' and is still in its original packaging; a colourless plastic sleeve. The tie was produced for the 1985 CIES annual conference in Tokyo and sent to Lord J. Sainsbury. The CIES is a food business forum for global food retailers and suppliers.
