Rectangular metal ink tin with rounded edges and a screw-top lid. The tin still holds its original contents. The sides of the tin are red and there is a cream paper label on the front. The paper label features red printed incriptions including the name of the product, 'K634 PURPLE INK', and the company that produced it, 'NCR'.
The ink was designed to be used with rubber price marking stamps and it is likely that it was used by Sainsbury's for price marking.
