Cream glazed machine pressed relief tile with stylised crown imperial design. A typical example of the house style used to decorate many of Sainsbury's new branches from the 1890s until after World War Two. It would have formed part of a central motif surrounded by rectangular machine pressed glazed relief tiles with brown floral borders on the wall of a Sainsbury's branch.
