Machine pressed relief tiles featuring a Art Nouveau style stem and leaf design. The tiles have a cream glazed ground and the design is painted with coloured glazes; green for the stem, green and brown for the base leaves, and blue for further leaves. There is also a colourless crackle overglaze. The raised inscription on the reverse of the tiles reads, 'MINTONS CHINA WORKS STOKE ON TRENT ENGLAND Reg No 298541 No E351 Col.' The tiles were used at the Sainsbury's branch at 12/16 High Street, Kingsland, Dalston as part of four tile pattern.
