White and light blue printed under-glaze border tile with a stylised flower, plant and grape design, and horizontal borders. A raised inscription on the reverse is almost illegible but it may give the maker's name, 'Minton, Hollins, & Co Stoke on Trent'. The tile is from the wall of Sainsbury's first branch at 173, Drury Lane, Holborn which opened in 1869.
