Tile (from 12/16 High Street, Kingsland branch)

Machine pressed relief tile featuring an Art Nouveau style flower and scrolling leaf design. The tiles have a cream glazed ground and the design is painted with coloured glazes; green for the leaves and yellow and orange for the flower. There is also a colourless crackle overglaze. The inscription on the reverse is illegible. This tile was used in the Sainsbury's branch at 12/16 High Street, Kingsland, Dalston.
