Tile (from 12/16 High Street, Kingsland branch)

Machine pressed relief tile featuring an Art Nouveau style flower, leaf and scroll design. The design is painted with coloured glazes; dark brown for the border, light brown for the background, blue and green for the scrolls, green for the leaves and yellow for the flower. The tile was used at the Sainsbury's branch at 12/16 High Street, Kingsland, Dalston where it formed part of a larger pattern. The tile is still attached to the original cement work.
