Video described on tape sleeve as:
"A financial knowledge training programme designed to inform trainee managers on the principles of the profit and loss report".

The video was intended for trainee managers, and anyone who required a basic understanding of finance within Sainsbury's. The video explained nett profit, gross profit, control of costs, stock results, and discussed the branch profit and loss account. The video was intended to be used in conjunction with the Finance in Action Workbook.

Features still images including branches, accounts, staff at work and slides presenting the topics discussed in the video (there is no moving footage on the video, just a voice over and still images).
