Bulletins sent from Sainsbury's head office to Sainsbury's stores. These were addressed to either the whole management team or one of the three deputy managers (dry goods, fresh foods or services). The deputy managers were responsible for ensuring that the departmental managers named in the subheadings took action on the points relevant to their department.
The Deputy Manager - Fresh Foods bulletins were divided into four types for each department (Grocery, Instore Bakery, Meat, Produce, and Provisions) until 11th July 1990 when they were combined into a single bulletin.
From the week commencing 15th October 1990, they were retitled as the 'Daily Communication Bulletin' (as noted in Daily Bulletin Management Team 305/90)..
