Shout about great value" (advising customers when they have missed offers), "Remember £1.17... an extra item in the basket!" (promoting 'Sainsbury's Magazine' to customers at checkouts). 04:48: Justin King introduces "Feed Your Family for a Fiver" campaign. Staff were to receive free ingredients from the "Spicy chilli" recipe card (see SA/MARK/ADV/3/4/7/3/1) so they could share knowledge with customers.
05:40: Message to branch staff from celebrity chef Jamie Oliver, filmed while he was making a "Feed Your Family for a Fiver" television commercial in Richmond, introducing the recipe cards and encouraging staff to try the "Spicy chilli" recipe and send in their own for a competition. Video ends with messages onscreen "Thanks for all your hard work" and "Together we can make the difference".
