Chrome-effect metal lamp with a plastic and rubber flex at the bottom and a bayonet fitting for a lightbulb inside. There is a circular hole at the top of the lamp in which an egg would have sat while it was being quality checked, the light from the bulb beneath would have allowed Sainsbury's staff to see the egg contents.
A green hinged clamp is screwed into one side of the lamp and would have been attached to the edge of a table or workbench behind the scenes in a Sainsbury's branch.
