"How Would you Like to Pay?" training video

Training video for staff in Sainsbury’s stores made for Sainsbury's Retail Training Department.

The video shows many of the different ways in which the actions by staff can result in losses being made in stores such as breakages and damage to products, ordering errors, theft, mischarging at the checkout, and waste of carrier bags. This is portrayed dramatically with staff taking actions which result in a loss, and a checkout assistant tallying up the costs which added up to a total annual wastage of £55 million.

Described on the cover as "a Training Programme designed to create and promote an awareness and interest in branch losses and to illustrate the necessity for maintaining effective loss control".

A caption at the end explains that the programme was made with the assistance of the management and staff at St Clares branch (this suggests it was filmed at that branch, and probably some of the roles were performed by staff).
