Hollow translucent plastic checkout light fitting. Each of the three sides features a black printed inscription indicating the checkout number, '3' framed by an orange line. The light was mounted on a checkout using the holes in the cream plastic base. A lightbulb inside would have been turned on if the checkout was open and off if the checkout was closed; the checkout attendant could set the bulb to flash if they required the assistance of a supervisor.
