Fire training video made for Sainsbury's Retail Training Department.
The video was for branch management and staff and shown as part of induction. It covered: the procedures to follow; fire extinguishers and their uses; fire alarms, notices and assembly points; and how to prevent fires. Staff or actors enact the different procedures which should be followed in a store in the event of fire. Dramatic segments show how a fire where the procedures were not followed could affect staff and customers.
Includes footage inside and outside Sainsbury’s stores showing various different areas of the store including public and staff only areas, hazards in the store, and fire fighting equipment. Some of the footage is from Bath Green Park store (eg 05:31), some may be from Finchley Road, Golders Green store (a fire notice from that store appears at 03:30) and some may have been filmed in the Swindon area (a fire engine from Swindon appears at 00:20).
Duration: 7 minutes 45 seconds. A Wyvern Television production.
