The background music is a theme used in several Sainsbury’s 1990s commercials entitled “Thirty Something”.

Television commercial (40 seconds) promoting Sainsbury’s Reward Card. It was one of three advertisements ('Gnocchi', 'Raining' and 'Marmalade') produced together in June 1996. The advert was filmed in a residential driveway in Kidbrooke, London on 6th June 1996 and the three adverts were due to air on television from 17th June 1996. It has a clock number (reference number used by television companies) of AMV/SARA367/030. The commercial shows a woman and man in the rain having arrived back from shopping at Sainsbury’s. They have collected points on their Reward Card. He wants to get Air Miles for a trip abroad, but thinks they’ve spent all the points on bottles of wine. However she actually wants to use the points on a trip to the south of France to escape from the rain, which pleases him when he finds out. The background music is a theme used in several Sainsbury’s 1990s commercials entitled “Thirty Something”.

Television commercial (40 seconds) promoting Sainsbury's Gnocchi, Sainsbury's other Italian foods and Sainsbury's The Magazine. It was one of three advertisements ('Gnocchi', 'Raining' and 'Marmalade') produced together in June 1996. The advert was filmed at Grip House Studios, Greenford on 5th June 1996. The commercial features a man (played by John Simm) and woman in their kitchen. He proudly announces that he is Italian and insists on authentic Italian food, while she says he is actually from Peckham and the Italian food is all from Sainsbury's. The commercial finishes with the “Sainsbury’s. Special food at everyday prices.” slogan. The background music is a theme used in several Sainsbury’s 1990s commercials entitled “Thirty Something”.
