Contains a bookplate at front which reads: "The Sainsbury Library Elmhurst, Windhill, Bishop's Stortford, Herts. Issued 16 Jun 1935. This book is the property of J. Sainsbury and must not be taken off the premises". The book probably came from a Sainsbury's staff hostel, many of which had libraries for the use of residents.
