Navy blue cotton baseball cap with a cotton covered metal button at the top of the head and a stiff fabric covered semi circular visor at the front. The size can be adjusted using the two plastic tabs at the back. The cap has a printed orange inscription on the front, "PEDICAB", and this section of the cap is supported with a white mesh panel on the inside. A cushioned band and a care instructions label are also on the inside of the cap.
Pedicabs are pedal-operated rickshaws, which provided a pollution-free means of transporting up to two customers and their shopping home. They were introduced as a trial at Sainsbury's Islington supermarket in 1998. They were operated by an independent company. See 'JS Journal' Jul-Aug 1998.
