Photograph of disused land (presumably in Bury St Edmunds). The archive's slide catalogue refers to this strip of transparencies as "Bury St Edmunds - proposed new site" (however no other evidence has been found to confirm whether this was a proposed new Sainsbury's site or not, perhaps this was an assumption made by the cataloguer). Possibly the photograph might have been taken somewhere in the vicinity of Risbygate Street, like other photos on the same reel (perhaps on a site behind the frontages shown on the Risbygate Street photos), rather than at the site in Moreton Hall where Sainsbury's later built a new store. No Sainsbury's store was actually built in the Risbygate Street area, so if there was a proposal for a Sainsbury's store in that area (as the slide catalogue appears to suggest) it did not go ahead.
