A note found with image suggests the man in the red jacket is the chairman of Docks de France (the owners of Mammouth, the hypermarket in which the Sainsbury's store was located) and the man on the right is the Docks de France "equivalent of [Sainsbury's off-licence buying director] Mike Connolly"....

A note found with image suggests the man in the red jacket is the chairman of Docks de France (the owners of Mammouth, the hypermarket in which the Sainsbury's store was located) and the man on the right is the Docks de France "equivalent of [Sainsbury's off-licence buying director] Mike Connolly". It is unclear who the other man is but he may be the store director as other images in the same set show him greeting customers.
