Labelled on back (presumably by a former archivist) "Croydon 1922. Window display celebrating wedding of Princess Mary & Viscount Harry Lascelles (later Earl of Harewood) Feb. 28th 1922. Letters H and M were in cochineal on lard panels. Cake was brainwave of the Manager, H.F. Jones, and used 2 cwt. of butter!". Image included in 'JS Journal' February 1958, p.2, where it is stated that the wedding being celebrated was that of the future King George V and Queen Mary in 1893, and that "The branch was 9/11 Croydon." It is unclear which identification is correct.
