A group portrait of manager Mr Snow with his staff. The staff are dressed in their uniforms. The image has been reproduced from 'JS Journal' July-August 1960. Caption from JS Journal "Our Cambridge branch opened in 1925. This photograph of some of the staff was taken in 1926 and they turned out in full uniform for the occasion. The manager, in the centre, was Mr. A. E. Snow, who later became an Area Superintendent and is now a familiar and active figure in the J.S. Veterans group. Top left are roundsmen in peaked caps. The others in peaked caps are delivery boys who rode tricycles. The tall white-hatted group are cooked-meat salesmen, and in the row below are butchers (you can just see the points of their aprons). The porters are on the right in overalls and aprons, and, extreme right, two poulterers. The girls with the white collars and the dashing bow ties were grocery girls. Salesmen and clerical staff complete the picture."
