According to a note on the back of SA/BRA/7/C/4/2/81 which depicts the same people, the man in the centre of the photograph (one of the first customers to the new branch) worked for Frank Sainsbury at Haverhill, and was present at the opening of the first Sainsbury's branch in Cambridge.
