Panorama (formed from four prints stapled together) of the site of the Exebridge branch in Exeter before construction had begun. The Sainsbury's branch would stand close to the area where the photographer was standing and to the far right of the picture. Exeter St Thomas railway station building is at the back in the centre of the photo - this building was restored as part of the development. In front of the station building is the temporary St Thomas Library building - this would be replaced by a new library building in front of it. On the right in the background is Cowick Street. On the left are the railway arches which carry the Great Western Mainline. The area in the foreground would mostly become the Sainsbury's car park.
