Photograph (postcard) of branch exterior with staff standing outside the shop. There is a display of poultry outside the shop, presumably a Christmas display. The postcard has a message on the back from Tom High to Mr Tupman ('Ed') at 30 South Street, Romford [a Sainsbury's branch]. The message from Mr High at 32 The Broadway, Sunken Lane, Woodford [a new Sainsbury's branch] notes his move to the new branch at Woodford although it is not open yet and he is still working at Cran[brook] Road but hopes that "it will not be long now for I am anxious to make a start". Mr Tupman was a Sainsbury's branch manager.
