Photograph of the Sainsbury's branch at 12-16 Worple Road, Wimbledon branch. This branch comprised of a new building opened on 5 July 1982 with offices above (called William House) next door to the existing branch at 8-12 Worple Road. The old branch at 8-12 was then closed, refitted, and then reopened as a part of the new branch on 7 December 1982. This photo shows the back of the new building in the centre (with "1 floor let 1 remaining" sign on it), and the back of the original building to its right (which was shared with Elys department store). The loading bay entrance for deliveries to the Sainsbury's store is located in the new building (between the white building and the "1 floor let, 1 remaining" sign).
