Video recording of a presentation given by chief executive Justin King to Sainsbury’s staff in a lecture theatre.
The presentation is about the company’s new goal and values as part of the "Making Sainsbury’s Great Again" initiative. The title "making Sainsbury's great again: a presentation by Justin King" appears onscreen at the start of the video.
The video starts with a short film – a montage featuring comments from customers and staff on things they felt were not as good in Sainsbury’s today or could be improved and clips from old Sainsbury’s television commercials.
Justin King then begins the presentation and explains the company’s goal and about the need to focus on customers, fair prices, and food.
He then discusses the company’s values which relate to constantly improving the company, customer service, individual responsibility and team delivery, keeping things simple, respect for the individual, and financial responsibility.
A pocket guide with the goal and values would be distributed to staff.
The video ends with another short film - showing staff in stores talking about what they thought was important and some of the positive things about the company. They conclude with a message about improving the shopping experience for customers.
Background music 'Marvellous' by the Lightning Seeds included on the introductory and concluding videos.
Duration: 17 minutes.
