Video relating to the Antigones project by the Royal Shakespeare Company showing the final rehearsals at Stratford. The project was funded by Sainsbury’s Awards for Arts Education scheme.
The video includes footage from rehearsals and interviews with those involved in the project (though the sound from most of the interviews is missing – the reason for this is not explained).
An article in 'JS Journal' August-September 1991 (page 10-11) explains that the project "The Antigone Project: Language in Action" was the winner of the top award of £100,000 in the first Sainsbury’s Awards for Arts Education. These awards for schools and arts organizations were designed to increase their arts education activities.
Duration: 5 minutes 30 seconds. Video made by Light House Media Centre, Wolverhampton (see video for full credits). The sound is missing from parts of the video.
