Television commercial promoting Red Noses on sale at Sainsbury’s stores (also Savacentre, Homebase and Oxfam) in support of Comic Relief Red Nose Day.
The advertisement depicts a tomato farm which appears to be in South or Central America. John Cleese (comedian) arrives in a helicopter to visit the farm and puts what appears to be a tomato on his nose, and squeezes it. It squeaks, and he says “Yes!”. One farmer says “The man from Sainsbury – he say Yes!” - in a spoof of the famous Del Monte adverts. Endline (voiced by Griff Rhys Jones) “The new crop of Comic Relief red hooters, available from Sainsbury’s”.
There are two versions a 50 second version and a 30 second version. Background music “What a Wonderful World” (a cover version by Alison Moyet).
