Introductory brochure, postcards of paintings, and teachers notes from the 1997 Pictures for Schools scheme. The 1997 scheme gave about 1200 primary schools a set of four framed reproductions of paintings, a teachers pack, and a video copy of the BBC programme about the paintings. Sainsbury's store managers chose up to three schools in their local area to participate in the scheme. The scheme was organized by Sainsbury's Sponsorship Department.
The paintings featured are:
The Adoration of the Kings by Jan Gossaert
Hambletonian, Rubbing Down by George Stubbs
Isabella by Sir John Everett Millais
