The 1998 scheme gave 1200 special needs schools (and schools with special needs units) a set of four framed reproductions of paintings, a teachers pack, an audio cassette and a video copy of the BBC programme about the paintings. Sainsbury's store managers chose up to three schools in their local area to participate in the scheme. The scheme was organized by Sainsbury's Community Affairs Department.
