Recruitment leaflet promoting Sainsbury's three year training scheme which was "introduced some years ago for young men aged 18 and over who have successfully completed an 'A' level course". It explains the scheme was introduced because the company's "expansion will necessitate an increased number of trained and qualified staff...for future senior positions within the company". Those completing the training would be "appointed to positions of responsibility in a self-service store" and it anticipates they could progress into roles such as Branch Manager or executive positions in retail or head office. The leaflet appears to have been produced for Sainsbury's Management Development Section.
