Flyer advertising an increase in wages for staff working in Sainsbury's branches. A code 'MET/SPEC/SS' is printed on the leaflet - pay levels varied in different parts of the country and this code probably indicated to staff the area where these pay rates applied to ensure it was correctly distributed ['MET' probably refers to London excluding central London, 'SPEC' possibly refers to a special pay rate for some branches outside of London where the same rate was being paid, and 'SS' probably refers to self-service branches].

Flyer promoting increased wages at Sainsbury's branches. The flyer has a code 'PROV/SS' printed on it - such codes appear to have been used internally to note which pay scales were included - it seems likely that 'PROV/SS' refers to provincial (non-London) self-service branches. [The flyer contains little other information so perhaps it could have been distributed with or included as an insert to a recruitment leaflet?].
