This section of the catalogue covers recruitment, staff welfare and benefits, pensions, health and safety, inductions, and other aspects of recruitment and employment. SA/EMP also includes material about Sainsbury's Veterans (retired staff) and long-serving staff. Also included are files of reminiscences about Sainsbury's, by letter or through transcripts of oral history interviews. There are also papers from the Good Fellowship Fund, which provided aid to staff in financial difficulty.

Staff registers date from 1869 up to c.1946 and are not comprehensive. Access to staff records is in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

My Sister died in 1/8/2013 her name was Teresa Anne Edwards she left school at 15 and worked for Sainsbury's for years in the Shenley Road Branch in Borehamwood so she paid into your pension for years. What happens to the pension when that pension died does it get paid to someone else? I would welcome your support in this matter thank you
