Copy of Staff Welfare Scheme booklet (1934), Copy of Staff Pension Scheme booklet (1947 & 1954) and copy of Senior Staff Pension Fund and Life Assurance Scheme booklet (1956 & 1957). Duplicate explanatory pamphlets for staff on the Good Fellowship Trust. The Trust was set up in 1922 by John James Sainsbury and his son, John Benjamin Sainsbury to provide assistance to 'members of staff and, in certain cases, their immediate dependants, in times of sickness or adversity'.

Includes letters and paperwork to William Ernest Guest about the general running of the branches he worked in and personnel matters. Also includes annual newsletters he received during the war telling him how Sainsbury's was faring. There are two certificates of membership for the Staff Welfare Scheme, a booklet on the Pension Fund and Life Assurance Scheme, a pamphlet on the Good Fellowship Trust and his identity certificate. There is also a medal for his being the runner up in the 'Z' section of the W C Gurr Trophy, a competition which formed part of the Griffin Athletic Club, 1939. Also contains menus for the dinner and lunch Sainsbury's held to celebrate their 80 year and centenary anniversaries, and a greetings telegram and a telemessage congratulating William Ernest Guest on his golden wedding anniversary and his 90th birthday.
