It is similar to SA/EMP/1/1/2/11 but this is a new version with increased pay rates and reference to the new five day week (42 hours) working hours. A 'stop press' notice is included on the front cover mentioning an increase in wage rates since printing. Includes information on working in a shop, meals, sport and social activities, wages, hours of work, and benefits. This version has the reference CENT 8 SPEC marked on the back cover, it includes the wage rates which were applicable in Central London branches and certain branches outside the London area. The photo on the five day week page relates to a series of television commercials (SA/MARK/ADV/1/1/1/3/3).
