The cartoons illustrate various jobs and aspects of working for Sainsbury's, such as a "£5,000 a year" salary, fresh meat department, "Top Management" and checkout supervisor. It also shows the covers of the leaflets "J Sainsbury’s Retail Management Training Scheme", "a career for young men in Modern Food Retailing with Sainsbury's" (see SA/EMP/1/1/2/38-39) and "opportunities for young women in Modern Food Retailing with Sainsbury's" (see SA/EMP/1/1/2/26-37). The photographs show male and female staff, exterior of 10 Ickenham Road, Ruislip branch, and exterior of unidentified late 19th century or early 20th century branch with staff.
