Staff National Service record

Gives details of Sainsbury's staff who carried out National Service. Gives name of employee, grade, date of birth, date engaged at Sainsbury's, date called up, demobilisation code, the service they entered and a code to record whether each man returned and resumed employment at Sainsbury's, resumed but resigned later, did not resume or was killed in action as at the date 1 June 1948. Also includes a table compiled from the statistics.

Guide to the grading structure at rear, service code may be given at top of first page where pencil annotations read 2 Army, 3 RAF, 1 Navy, as is the code for the outcome following demobilisation.
