Newsletter for Sainsbury's Veterans containing news about staff and the organisation of events for veterans e.g. reunions and excursions. 'Veterans' are retired members of Sainsbury's staff (who met certain eligibility criteria, such as a minimum length of service with the company).
Originally entitled 'Veterans News Letter' which changed to 'JS Veterans Newsletter' by 1972.
These were in a basic newsletter format with typewritten text. Simple illustrations were included on some issues.
The Veterans Newsletter was replaced from December 1988 by two new publications - 'JSV Informer' which was a basic bulletin that contained updates such as new members, birthdays and events, and 'JS Veterans News' which was a magazine style illustrated publication containing various articles of interest to Veterans.
Not all issues have been deposited in the archive.
