The 'Informer' replaced the previous 'JS Veterans Newsletter' and contained similar content to that publication including updates on members (birthdays, anniversaries etc), events and other updates. It was published alongside the 'JS Veterans News' which was a magazine style publication.
The 'Informer' was presumably first issued in December 1988 at the same the 'JS Veterans News' magazine was introduced (the October 1988 'JS Veterans Newsletter' refers to the planned introduction of the 'Informer').
From Summer 1999, the 'Informer' was incorporated with 'Veterans News' (see SA/EMP/SOC/2/6/2).
Only four issues of the 'Informer' have been deposited in the archive.
