"Cheese Please" training video

Video made for Sainsbury's Retail Training Department. The video was part of the "Building Better Business" programme.

Described as “a commodity knowledge training programme designed to inform branch staff of the production, range and uses of cheese sold at Sainsbury's".

The video was intended for members of staff who work in the Provisions Department. It includes information on the range of cheeses stocked by Sainsbury's, the production of cheese, the uses of cheese and how to care for cheese in the store. There was an associated trainers guide and quiz cards.

The video shows a story of a customer seeking help about cheese in a Sainsbury’s store. A member of a staff takes her on a tour to find out more about cheese. They are instantly transported to a creamery in Somerset, a Sainsbury’s training room, the kitchen of a French cook (who shows them how to use cheese in cooking), the cold store at the Sainsbury’s store and back to the cheese display.

Footage is included of cheese displays in a Sainsbury’s store; production of cheese in a creamery in Somerset which makes some of Sainsbury’s cheeses; examples of different cheeses, drinks with cheese and meals containing cheese; and the cold store at a Sainsbury’s store.
